The forum organized in conjunction with the CIDER, served as a space to launch the UNCRD-LAC publication on Human Security Assessments in the Bogotá-Cundinamarca Region, and disseminate and discuss the findings of the work undertaken from 2006 to 2009.
This book which raised the interest of public officials, practitioners, academicians, and those wishing to learn about human security issues and methodologies, documents the process undertaken, highlighting lessons learned to provide other interested regions with a tool for replicating this experience. One of the main results of this project is that human security has become an important theme in the definition of public policy and development planning in Bogotá and Cundinamarca.
