As a pre-event of the forthcoming 17th Regional Environmentally Sustainable Transport (EST) Forum in Asia, scheduled to be held from 16 to 19 March 2027 in Seongnam City, Republic of Korea, the UNCRD, in collaboration with the Asian Institute of Transport Development (AITD), New Delhi, India, and the 3R Waste Foundation, India, will organize a webinar on: “People-Centered Streets and Low-Carbon Urban Futures in India: Reclaiming Cities for Walking, Cycling, and Public Transport”. The webinar will take place on 23 July 2026, from 10:30 to 12:30 hours - Indian Standard Time (IST). The event aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and dialogue on people-oriented urban mobility, sustainable transport planning, and low-carbon pathways for Indian cities, highlighting the importance of walking, cycling, and public transport in creating inclusive, resilient, and environmentally sustainable urban futures.
