UNDESA’s Under-Secretary-General Visit UNCRD

On 10 October 2023, Mr. Li Junhua, the Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs visited the United Nations Centre Regional Development (UNCRD) in Nagoya, which is a project office of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA). He had a meeting with the UNCRD staff and briefed about the activities and exchange views, using the opportunity of visiting Kyoto, Japan to attend the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) from 8 to 12 October 2023 (More information of IGF: https://www.un.org/development/desa/un-desa-voice/things-you-need-to-know/2023/10#5642)

During his visit to Nagoya, he made a courtesy visit to Mr. Shinichiro Furumoto, Vice-Governor of Aichi Prefecture. He also met with other important local partners, including Mr. Takashi Kawamura, Mayor of Nagoya City, Mr. Toshihiko Ota, Mayor of Toyota City, and Prof. Yoshitsugu Hayashi, Distinguished Professor at Chubu University and President of Japan Association of the Club of Rome.
