UN-Habitat Global Stakeholder Consultation Meeting

The High-Level Meeting of the United Nations General Assembly will be convened on 28 April 2022 in New York to review progress on the implementation of the New Urban Agenda. In preparation for the High-Level Meeting, UN-Habitat Stakeholder Advisory Group Enterprise (SAGE) hold a virtual global stakeholder consultation on 4-5 April 2022 for the purpose of coordinating stakeholder recommendations to member states, with over 200 participants from over 180 organizations including local and regional governments, United Nations entities, including UNCRD, academia, grassroots, and the civil society.

In the consultation meeting, Director Endo participated and delivered a presentation on UNCRD's "Developing SDG Monitoring and Evaluation Tools," which was selected as one of twenty-seven good cases out of over 110 submission through a rigorous review process. Throughout the meeting, feedback and recommendations on implementation of the New Urban Agenda, challenges, opportunities, partnerships and good practices were provided by participating stakeholders.

These 110 cases will contribute to the reporting process on the Urban Agenda Platform as well as be reflected in the UN-Habitat report on SDGs to be submitted to the high-level political forum in 2023.
