At the 15th International Conference on Sustainable Waste Management and Circular Economy, people are on the stage

The United Nations Centre for Regional Development-Department of Sustainable Development Goals/United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNCRD-DSDG/UN DESA), Graphic Era University (GEU), India, and International Society of Waste Management, Air and Water (ISWMAW), and Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), co-organized the 15th International Conference on Sustainable Waste Management and Circular Economy (IconSWM & CE) and IPLA Global Forum 2025 on 29-31 October 2025 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. The Forum was joined by 400 participants from 39 countries comprising of high-level government representatives, experts, scientists and academic researchers, private and business sector, international organizations, and NGOs. There were altogether 290 presentations under 45 technical sessions spanning over 3 days.

The Forum was addressed by Hon. Minister of Forests, Languages and Technical Education, Government of Uttarakhand, Mr. Subodh Uniyal; Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era University, Prof. Narpinder Singh; President of ISWMAW, Prof. Sadan Kumar Ghosh; and Chief Scientist, SINTEF, Norway, Prof. Christian John Engelsen. UNCRD delivered a keynote speech, chaired technical session and organized a special session on “Advancing Science-Policy-Business Interface towards Implementation of the Jaipur Declaration (2025-2035) on 3R & Circular Economy for Achieving Resource Efficient, Clean, Resilient Sound Material Cycle & Low-Carbon Society in Asia and the Pacific”.
