Objectives
- To strengthen the institutional capacity of OBPED for local and regional development and planning by training its planners in project planning and management;
- To upgrade the capacity of the planning staff at the Bureau Head Office to give technical advice and guidance in project planning and management, and data collection and analysis at zonal and woreda levels;
- To build capacity at zonal and woreda levels for development planning and implementation of projects by providing planners with requisite skills and knowledge in project planning and management;
- To provide practical skills in project preparation and enable participants to gather the necessary data and prepare proposals appropriate for the grass-roots level;
- To provide the participants with the skills and techniques of data collection and information management; and
- To enable the participants to develop effective survey tools and instruments, and to apply accurate data in planning.
