UNCRD Input to the 5th All Russia Forum on Eco-Industrial Parks, 25-26 February 2021

CRC Mohanty, Environment Programme Coordinator of UNCRD-DSDG/UN DESA delivered a presentation on “Advancing 3R and Circular Economy towards Achieving the SDGs – Role of Regional 3R & Circular Economy Forum in Asia and the Pacific” at the 5th All-Russian Business Forum – “Eco-Industrial Parks in Russia”, held at Moscow City Government Conference Hall on 25-26 February 2021.

The Forum was co-organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Trade of the Russian Federation, Environmental Industrial Policy Centre, Russian Ecological Organization with support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) of the Russian Federation and UNIDO.  The hybrid conference (both offline and online) which was joined by around 350 participants from 5 countries addressed the theme of “eco-industrial parks are the basic elements of a comprehensive waste management and secondary resource management system in the Russian Federation”.  It could be noted that the Moscow City Government of the Russian Federation has officially announced to host the UNCRD/UN DESA led 11th Regional 3R and Circular Economy Forum in Asia and the Pacific in late 2021.
