Smart Cities - UNCRD Smart Cities Project: Capacity Building
Backgrounds
Under the Smart Cities Programme, the United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD) organize a series of capacity building programmes and training workshops to assist member countries in building their cities and communities safer, smarter, and sustainable.
To contribute towards achieving the 2030 Agenda/sustainable development goals (SDGs), and the Paris Agreement, the smart cities programme further aims to contribute number of SDGs focusing particularly on the Goal 11 - “Building Sustainable Cities and Communities” which has direct implications and synergies with other SDGs.
