A Workshop on Moving Towards Resource Efficient and Zero Waste Cities for city and local government officials from Semarang City, Indonesia, was co-hosted by IPLA and Griffith University on 24 October 2013 at Nathan Campus, Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. The workshop, which is supported by UNCRD, aims to investigate how city authorities and municipalities can work with other key stakeholders in promoting zero waste policies and programs. Griffith University serves as a Sub-Regional Secretariat of IPLA for Australia and New Zealand, working with its partners to disseminate information and promote research in the areas of waste management and sustainable environments.
