Workshop on eco-efficiency criteria in developing sustainable infrastructure

UNCRD-LAC supports the initiative for the integration of the Caribbean Region since 2009, and part of this initiative is the development of the metropolitan corridor Santa Marta, Cartagena and Barranquilla, the three main cities of this region.

UNCRD-LAC collaborated with the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in the promotion and inclusion of eco-efficiency criteria in developing sustainable infrastructure as a basis of energy and resource savings and in decreasing emissions. The Project aims at improving capacity in decision making related to sustainable urban infrastructure, policy design and its implementation in countries of both regions.

Attendance: A group of 25 policy makers, planners, public officials and representatives of the private sector of the cities of Santa Marta, Barranquilla and Cartagena in Colombia
