On 10 July 2026, the United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD) will co-organize the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) 2026 Side Event, “Accelerating SDG 11: Building Sustainable, Inclusive and Resilient Cities through Integrated Urban Systems and Human Rights – Sustainable Housing, Mobility and Circular Solutions,” in collaboration with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). Building on the key findings of the 2026 Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11 Synthesis Report, the event will discuss practical pathways to advance sustainable, inclusive and resilient cities through integrated approaches to housing, mobility, circular economy, disaster risk reduction, urban data and human rights.
