Regional EST Forum

About Regional EST Forum

Regional EST Forum was established in 2005 with the view to:

  1. Facilitate high-level policy dialogues on environment and transport issues on a regular basis;
  2. Provide a strategic and knowledge platform for sharing experiences & disseminating among Asian countries best practices, tools, technologies, policy instruments, in response to various issues concerning EST;
  3. Provide a platform for discussion on specific issues of concern through expert group meetings, policy consultations;
  4. Provide a platform for interagency coordination both at national and international level to efficiently address the environment and transport issues.

The Regional EST Forum provides a strategic platform between the governments and the selected experts who meet periodically to discuss various EST related issues and share best practices/experiences. The experts of the Forum provide strategic guidance to the participating countries in the relevant EST areas, including the formulation of national EST strategies.
