The United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs Division for Sustainable Development Goals (DSDG/UNDESA) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), the Government of Japan co-organized the International Workshop on Quality Road Infrastructure Development at the United Nations University, in Tokyo, Japan, from 4 to 6 March 2025. The workshop convened high-level government officials from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond, and focused on advanced technologies for developing sustainable and resilient road networks under the era of climate change and aging.
