The United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD), with the support of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism (MLIT), the Government of Japan, have been organizing a series of capacity-building workshops on smart cities to support developing countries in Asia and the Pacific. As a side event of the 10th World Water Forum, UNCRD and the United Cities and Local Governments Asia-Pacific (UCLG ASPAC) co-organized this “International Workshop on Building Smart and Resilient Cities and Communities in Asia and the Pacific: Role of Policy Makers and Planners of Local Government” on 21 and 23 May 2024.
